- SINGULAIR may cause serious side effects. Behavior and mood-related changes have been reported: agitation including aggressive behavior or hostility, bad or vivid dreams, depression, disorientation (confusion), feeling anxious,
hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not really there), irritability, restlessness, sleepwalking, suicidal thoughts and actions (including suicide), tremor, and trouble sleeping. Are allergies bothering your child? Discover a different way to treat indoor and outdoor allergy symptoms. Although many allergy medicines block histamine, SINGULAIR is an indoor and outdoor allergy medicine that blocks leukotrienes (loo-ko-TRY-eens), an underlying cause of allergy symptoms.
SINGULAIR is a prescription allergy medicine that helps relieve the following symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies (outdoor allergies in adults and children as young as 2 years and indoor allergies in adults and children as young as 6 months):
- Congestion
- Runny nose
- Sneezing
- Itchy nose
SINGULAIR:
- One pill, once a day, helps relieve indoor and outdoor allergy symptoms
- Was not associated with drowsiness in clinical studies
- Comes in cherry chewable tablets and oral granules for children as young as 2 years with indoor and outdoor allergies, and oral granules for children as young as 6 months with indoor allergies
- Is steroid free

- The most common side effects with SINGULAIR include upper respiratory infection, fever, headache, sore throat, cough, stomach pain, diarrhea, earache or ear infection, flu, runny nose, and sinus infection.
- Parents or guardians of a child with phenylketonuria: Note that cherry chewable tablets contain phenylalanine, a component of aspartame.
- SINGULAIR should not be taken by people who are sensitive to any of its ingredients.
